Maintenance Supervis or - Eyre Peninsula Region, SA We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across mining sites located in South Australia's Eyre Peninsula and surrounding regions. This role is ideal for candidates who are either locally based or prepared to relocate or work on a drive-in, drive-out basis. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance services. This includes supervising daily tasks, supporting your team in the field, and ensuring that maintenance activities align with operational goals and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead by example in promoting a safe work culture and ensuring compliance with OH&S and environmental policies. Supervise and support maintenance teams and contractors to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes. Diagnose mechanical issues and coordinate practical solutions to minimise downtime. Allocate resources effectively and manage conflicting priorities to meet site requirements. Contribute to asset management strategies focused on preventative maintenance and reliability. Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and safety observations to reinforce safe work practices. Assess training needs and support skill development across the maintenance team. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, timekeeping, and purchasing. Engage with internal stakeholders to support operational goals and ensure effective communication. Utilise maintenance systems e.g. CMMS to support planning, reporting, and inventory management. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in mining or heavy industry environments. Strong understanding of OH&S systems and risk management practices. Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues with a practical, hands-on approach. Financial and resource management capabilities, including job costing and purchasing. Multi-skilled across maintenance disciplines and committed to continuous improvement. Effective communicator with the ability to coach and develop others. Computer-literate and familiar with maintenance management systems. Willing to be based in or travel regularly to the Eyre Peninsula region of South Australia.
