We’re looking for dedicated Assistants in Nursing to join C2South, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children with a tracheostomy, which may also include ventilation, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Full training will be provided within a supportive team environment. What you'll be doing The AIN – Tracheostomy/Ventilation is responsible for providing care for tracheostomy and/or ventilated patients, working within a plan of care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) within a team setting. The role is also responsible for assisting in the provision of basic nursing care. The AIN – Tracheostomy/Ventilation is responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality individualised care to patients at Sydney Children's Hospital within the guidelines set by the NSW Department of Health, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Framework, The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN) – Division of Nursing and within the limits of the AIN position description. The AIN will: Maintain patient confidentiality at all times Demonstrate ethical behaviour in their performance Understand and respect patients' rights Provide evidence of completion of annual mandatory training Practice within the NSW Health guidelines, the position description and guidelines for the SCHN and are required to adhere to Policies and Procedures.
