Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Data and Analytics Lead to execute our data function end-to-end — implementing our established data strategy through the delivery of high-impact analytics and data solutions. This role reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation. This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data and analytics leadership roles. You'll be responsible for: Strategy Execution: Implementing our established 3-year data strategy, adapting tactical approaches as business needs evolve. Hands-on Delivery Leadership: Leading and contributing to the delivery of scalable, high-quality data solutions through a hybrid team of internal and external contributors. Business Partnership: Acting as a trusted delivery partner to senior stakeholders, translating data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions. Execution Excellence: Ensuring data initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable impact. This role is ideal for someone who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on technical delivery — someone who thrives in both stakeholder conversations and delivery stand-ups, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. Job Description Technical Skills & Expertise You bring a strong blend of technical expertise and execution focus, with the ability to lead teams and build solutions that scale. Your toolkit includes: Business Partnership & Execution Execute the established data strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivering measurable outcomes. Delivery & Collaboration Proven ability to guide internal and external teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. Comfortable working across business and technical domains to ensure alignment and impact. Team Leadership & Collaboration You'll lead a hybrid team comprising one internal senior data engineer and an external delivery partner. Your leadership style is hands-on, collaborative, and focused on outcomes. Lead and align internal and external contributors to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions. Take a hands-on approach to delivery, working alongside your senior data engineer to design, build, and deploy solutions rather than purely overseeing work. Provide technical direction and tactical guidance, ensuring delivery is consistent with business priorities and architectural standards. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing across the team. Act as a mentor and coach, helping uplift internal capability while managing vendor performance and delivery quality.
