You will be responsible for providing top-quality cleaning services for home residential and aged care facilities. This will include tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and restocking supplies. Our ideal candidate is physically able to carry out cleaning tasks, pays attention to detail, and operates with a high level of professionalism. Position Accountabilities Carry out general cleaning duties within areas nominated by the Supervisor. Clean allocated areas to an extremely high standard with consideration to hygiene, safety and always maintain a high level of customer awareness. Immediately respond to any cleaning requirement that poses any danger or risk to the health and safety of clients and / or employees. Exercise duty of care and work in a safe and efficient manner, having regard for your own safety and that of other workers and clients of RDNS YCHC. Maintain all cleaning equipment in good working order, reporting any damage to equipment or hazards in the work area to the supervisor as soon as possible. Ensure workplace procedures and instructions for controlling risks are followed accurately and ensure that all cleaning equipment and chemicals are stored securely after use. Ensure that reports on accidents and incidents are provided to the immediate supervisor in accordance with RDNS YCHC requirements. Assist others in the work team with implementing risk management policies and procedures. Ensure that areas being cleaned are maintained in a secure state. Maintain security awareness, including setting alarms and reporting all suspicious activities to the supervisor. Provide support to, and relief of, other cleaning positions in other areas and locations, as required. Any other duties consistent with the level of the position as directed. Qualifications Proven working experience as a cleaner, preferably within housing residential or aged care facility. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets. Integrity and ability to work independently. High school certificate preferred. Essential Conditions Federal Police Clearance must be attained and declaration made of any future charges or convictions that could potentially affect your role within RDNS YCHC. Covid vaccination evidence along with annual flu shot. Safety and Wellbeing Take reasonable care not to place at risk the health and safety of anyone in the workplace. Ensure all mandatory safety training is provided and completed. Complying with workplace procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control. Participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety. Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, property damage and mishaps at the workplace. Correct utilisation of appropriate personal protective equipment. What We Offer: Competitive pay $33.38 per hour Super paid fortnightly.
