Key Responsibilities Food Creation & Culinary Leadership Lead the development and innovation of menu items, ensuring each dish is balanced, thoughtful, and visually appealing. Maintain consistency and excellence in flavour, presentation, and quality across all meals. Experiment with seasonal ingredients to create dynamic, nourishing menus aligned with our values. Conduct regular tastings and quality assurance checks to uphold culinary excellence. Inspire the kitchen team through hands-on mentoring, leading by example in creativity, precision, and passion. Team Management & Staff Development Provide purposeful leadership, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of warmth, collaboration, and professional growth. Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, guiding them to embody our brand values in every action. Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to build confidence, competence, and alignment with the Still & Social ethos. Cultivate a kitchen environment that is intentional, harmonious, and reflective of our community-focused approach. Operational Oversight & Standards Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflows and efficiency within a calm, nurturing environment. Implement and maintain systems for stock control, ordering, and waste reduction, with care for sustainability and quality. Ensure strict adherence to all health, hygiene, and safety protocols. Collaborate closely with front-of-house teams to create seamless, holistic dining experiences. Financial Management Manage food costs, budgets, and procurement without compromising quality or integrity. Analyse and adjust operations to meet financial objectives while preserving the soulful experience our guests expect. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers who share our commitment to quality, sustainability, and authenticity. Guest Experience & Brand Alignment Ensure every dish reflects Still & Social’s commitment to nourishment, intentionality, and soulful hospitality. Respond to feedback with empathy and adaptability to create memorable culinary moments. Act as an ambassador for Still & Social, representing our ethos in all interactions, collaborations, and events.
