Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of, the Authority. The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all students studying the Western Australian curriculum to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society. The Authority has been licensing overseas school to implement the Western Australian curriculum under its International Education Program (IEP) for more than 38 years. The Authority is undertaking an expansion of its IEP in accordance with the State’s international education strategy and is currently working with schools across the globe to deliver the Western Australian curriculum. The Role The Authority is seeking to appoint staff with expertise in the Western Australian Years 7 to 12 curriculum, with a particular focus on senior secondary (Years 11 and 12), to fulfil responsibilities across the following learning areas: Technologies Mathematics Science English Humanities and Social Sciences Expertise in one or more senior secondary (Years 11 and 12) courses is highly regarded, along with the capacity to work across multiple disciplines. Demonstrated capability in the design, delivery and assessment of General and ATAR courses will be a key consideration in the selection process Suitable applicants must be willing and able to undertake occasional international or interstate travel, as the need arises.
