Job Description Job Description DESCRIPTION OF JOB SCOPEOptical Sorter Operador is an employee in the Quality Control Department. The primary responsibility of this position is toensure that alI products manufactured in the plant fulfill the customer's expectation in terms of food safety and product quality. QCTechnician will assist in monitoring and ensuring conformance to specification for incoming raw product, packaging material. work-in·process (WIP) and finished goods. The Optical Sorter Operador is required to ensure compliance with GMP's (Good Manufacturing Processes),Federal, State and local food protection standards. ls responsible in assisting other Company Leaders and Supervisors on issues related tofood safety. product quality, and continuous improvement.QC Optical Sorter Work Stations: Wash Line, Pack Out, Clam Shells. Vacuum Tube, Shipping DockDESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:l. Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies, including Basic Policies (TRN-0101, TRN-102, TRN-103. TRN-104. TRN-105.TRN-1061.2. Complete Classic Salads Quality Standard Operating Procedure Training (CS-SOP-5010. CS-SOP-5011, CS-SOP-5012, CS-SOP-039, CS-SOP-040. CS-SOP-043. CS-SOP-046. CS·SOP-048, CS-SOP·049, CS-SOP-051. CS-SOP-052, CS·HCP-5600. CS-HCP-5601.3. Measure, maintain and control sanitizer levels of the wash water and temperature of the product processing.4. Comply and monitor GM P's, and food safety regulations.5. Understand and monitor HACCP principles are being followed.6. Verifies compliance to Critical Control Points as per Company Critical Control Limits. Document compliance.7. Prepare daily sanitizer solution for washline hand dips, core, knives, shovels, etc. Maintain Dip Stations.8. Calibrate scale and thermometer. Document calibration.9. Perform product sampling and ensure compliance with code dating.10. Following Product Specifications, check seal integrity, analyze product sizing and retain product samples for shelf life studies.11. Perform quality attribution measurements to Work-In-Process (WIP) and finished product.12. Ensure production lines are adhering to metal detection procedures and record keeping, HACCP procedures, scales calibrations arebeing performed, lot code compliance.13. Track the progress of releasing all finished product that meets Company quality standards and specifications.14. Assists with HOLD products. Has the authority to place any raw material, Work-In-Process (WIP) or finished product on HOLD thatdoes not comply with Company quality specifications. Notifies the Production Supervisor and QA Supervisor immediately.15. Communicate routinely with Production Supervisor on issues related to food safety and product quality.16. Work as a team member, support other members of the team when needed, support new team members and become actively involvedwith food safety and safety initiatives.17. Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with allappropriate legal and food safety requirements.18. Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.19. Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management.20. Perform all other duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager. Quality Assurance Supervisor and/orQuality Control QC Specialist.21. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles).face shield, gloves. slio resistant shoes. wet/rain suit. aoron.22. Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.23. Able to work under pressure and time.24. Able to work in a cold/wet environment (34 · 36 °ree;F Degrees).25. Report all injuries and incidents big or small26. Operate and calibarate the Optical Sorters27. Record the Optical Sorter verification log28. Collect and record foreign objects foundEDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent is highly recommended. Good basic math skills. Basic computer skills. One year of Produce qualityexperience. Detailed oriented. Good verbal and written communication skills is required. Ability to speaks, read, and write in Spanish.Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions preferred. Ability to manage priorities and workllow within constantly changingpriorities with enthusiasm. Preferable be able to travel with the Company to Yuma Arizona during winter months (mid-November to endMarch).
