Senior Buyer - Fresh Food Central London – Hybrid Working £55,000 - £70,000 Bonus & Benefits I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a successful food retailer at their London Head Office. You will be responsible for leading a team within own brand fresh food - categories TBC. You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Buying to deliver commercially focused product ranges that meet both Departmental and Company targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth within the own label fresh food department. Some of your duties will include. Lead your team of Buyers to manage their individual categories Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Ensuring selected product lines achieve season defined timeframes. Sourcing suppliers & negotiating best cost prices. Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines. Attending trade shows / outlets, supplier markets Negotiate the best possible contracts & terms. Plan & forecast ahead 6/12-month future strategies Monitor continual competitor and price analysis to stay ahead Presenting reports, figures, and trend information to the Senior Management team Develop the Buying team to ensure they fulfil their individual career potential. Key requirements for the role. Proven previous experience as a Buying / Sourcing Manager within a food retailer Ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Able to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced market. Strong leadership skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels. Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects. Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
