Business Systems Developer

Morgan Hunt are working with a public sector organisation in Dundee to recruit a Business Systems Developer on a permanent basis. The role is based in their Dundee office, on a hybrid working model doing 2 days per week in the office. Ideally, the candidate will come from a background in the public sector, but this is not essential. The role is looking for someone who comes from a technical background and has moved into the business analysis side. Key Responsibilities: Help shape the organisation's business systems strategy to align with the company goals. Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of business systems projects, ensuring requirements are met and solutions are delivered on time Play a hands-on role in implementing software solutions that meet business needs and improve efficiency Design and implement system processes and integrations that drive automation and operational efficiency Research and recommend new technologies or solutions that add value to the organisation Analyse complex data to identify trends, improve processes, and support data-driven decision-making Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decisions. Plan and manage system upgrades, ensuring ongoing functionality, compliance, and prompt issue resolution Investigate, escalate, and resolve technical issues efficiently, collaborating with external vendors when necessary Experience Required: Solid understanding of SQL for MS SQL Server databases Report Production within SQL Server Reporting Services and data visualisation tools such as Power BI Use of process automation tools Experience of developing via the Microsoft Power Platform Experience creating user friendly, accessible user interfaces Data governance Up to 41k per year plus benefits Permanent position Hybrid working (2 days per week in Dundee office) Please get in touch for further information Morgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
