Mediation OfficerSmall Business Commission Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8 Duration: ongoing opportunity and Talent Pool Location: Parramatta, 4 Parramatta Square - Hybrid - (Also open to Gosford, Wollongong, Newcastle, Lithgow) About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Mediation Team at the NSW Small Business Commission, where you will play a key role in delivering alternative dispute resolution services to business customers. You will help businesses resolve disputes using nationally accredited mediation frameworks and principled negotiation standards, ensuring fair, efficient, and effective outcomes.We have an exciting opportunity within our Mediation Services Team at the NSW Small Business Commission. What You'll Do: Apply specialised knowledge of legislation, regulations, and civil disputes to ensure high-quality service delivery. Manage customer relationships to drive engagement with mediation and best possible outcomes for all parties in dispute. Oversee administrative workflows and identify service improvement opportunities. Contribute to continuous improvement by developing and refining business processes. Communicate effectively within the team to support best practice. Apply expertise in civil dispute management to support mediation services. Interpret legislation and review case law. What We are looking for: Mediation accreditation under the national standards (AMDRAS). Experience conducting in-person mediation sessions is desirable. Strong background in civil dispute resolution. Neutral and non-judgemental attitude. Essential criteria Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) registration (AMDRAS) or equivalent.
