This role provides day to day supervision of administrative staff of the Ophthalmology department within Prince of Wales Hospital and coordinate administrative systems and procedures to enable the Ophthalmology department to achieve their objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner. Where you'll be working Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support in a demanding environment. Demonstrated ability to write reports, documents and correspondence. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to respond and work with a range of stakeholders. Demonstrated high level organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and monitor workflow. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and standard office software packages and the ability to learn new systems as required. Demonstrated ability to determine work priorities for others, allocate tasks, and monitor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives.
