Are you passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences? We are seeking an experienced Conference & Events Supervisor to assist in the seamless delivery and management of food and beverage services at Q Station events, ensuring the highest standards of service and a memorable guest experience. Your mission: Supervise and delegate tasks to the F&B team while actively being hands-on in the food and beverage service delivery, ensuring timely, high-quality service. Support the team in maintaining operational flow and adherence to service procedures. Address challenges swiftly to exceed guest expectations and enhance event experiences. This is a hands-on operational role, not office-based. You’ll spend minimal time at a desk and will be focused on the operational aspects of events on the floor, directly engaging with the team and guests. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Conference & Events Manager, the Conference & Events Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing daily operations across event spaces and F&B outlets at Q Station. This position upholds exceptional service standards, guiding the team to deliver outstanding results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with all departments to ensure efficient event execution and offer hands-on support across diverse service styles and operational needs. Some of your key responsibilities will include; Provide efficient, friendly, and professional food and beverage service to all guests. Oversee daily operations of the Conference & Events outlets, supervising and delegating tasks to junior staff based on operational needs. Collaborate effectively with Front of House and the Chef/Kitchen brigade to ensure smooth service planning and execution. Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss progress and strategies. Support the Food & Beverage Management Team in assessing staffing and rostering requirements. Assist in onboarding and continuous upskilling of Team Members. Ensure all outlet areas and storerooms are well-maintained and organised. Assist in completing the monthly stocktake of beverages, glassware, and stock. Essential Criteria You have; Previous supervisory experience in a busy food & beverage operations environment. Hotel experience is highly advantageous. Ready to take on challenges and exert an elevated level of creativity. Ability to multi-task and manage both operational and administrative workload (with minimal time behind a desk). Availability to work across a range of mid-week, weekend, and day/evening shifts. Maintain high attention to detail with exemplary cleaning standards across all outlets. Ability to move around a large hotel site as required to perform the duties of the role. Current RSA certification and exercise RSA authority as required across site. Current Australian driver's license. Current Food Handler or Food Supervisor Certificate OR willingness to obtain one.
