Retail Fit-out Supervisor

As a market leader in the designer toy industry, our rapid expansion across Australia and New Zealand calls for a dedicated and experienced Retail Fit-out Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Sydney. You'll be responsible for overseeing end-to-end retail store construction and fit-out projects - from planning and design review to onsite supervision and post-completion maintenance. You’ll work closely with internal departments, suppliers and international stakeholders to ensure all stores are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Pre-Construction & Planning Participate in store layout and full design documentation review Assess and audit project budgets for feasibility and cost control Provide technical input during business negotiations and supplier coordination Construction Quality & Safety Oversight Supervise the full construction process of new store fit-outs Monitor site safety, material usage, construction methods and quality standards Identify and resolve any construction quality issues in a timely manner Project Handover & Finalisation Lead pre-handover inspections and coordinate joint acceptance procedures Ensure timely supplier rectifications and collect project close-out documents Confirm completed works and review final settlement calculations Post-Opening Maintenance Coordinate and resolve store repair issues and equipment maintenance Analyse recurring maintenance issues to improve future store fit-out standards Support development and optimisation of internal engineering and maintenance processes What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising construction or fit-out projects in a retail environment Familiarity with APAC building codes and retail fit-out processes Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project cost control Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and other relevant software Excellent coordination and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus
