The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Assistant to join the team at Broadmeadows You will be responsible for: General Duties Perform basic QC tasks to ensure parts meet business quality standardsScanning, taking photos and labelling of automotive partsPackage and wrap parts for transport to warehouseLoad stillages with parts and stillage on to transfer truckAssist with stock and consumables countsUsing scanners to ensure all parts are located correctlyEnsure parts are collected from Dismantlers in a timely mannerEnsure appropriate PPE worn and work area is kept cleanAssist in washing Engines, Transmissions and other partsAssist in draining Fuel Buggies into allocated Fuel IBCsGeneral yard and forklift duties as required The successful candidate will have the following: Specialist Knowledge MUST HAVE - Forklift licenceKnowledge of mechanical car parts and panelsUnderstanding of the long-term goals and aspirations of the organisation Experience & Skills Experience in yard maintenanceProblem solvingAble to work safely and efficiently both in a team environment and independently Well-developed interpersonal skillsStrong written communication skills Able to professionally represent the organisation We know that sometimes people need non-standard work hours and would be happy to discuss the options available in this role, or similar roles across our business.
