Registered Nurse Job Details Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401 (Alabama nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Medical Unit (42 beds) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/8/2026) Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:00) Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours/week) Guaranteed Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,840 per week Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs Parking: On-site available Registered Nurse Qualifications Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses) AHA BLS certification or Red Cross equivalent Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing 18 months overall RN experience preferred Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care to cardiac and medical patients, including those with chest pain, arrhythmias, pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, and post-surgical needs Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry for patients Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio for optimal care and safety Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve the best patient outcomes Float to other hospital units and facilities as required Work every other weekend and holidays as needed Apply now to join our healthcare team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and take the next step in your nursing career!
