Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description Job Description Nandina is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the development of design deliverables for a variety of projects in the industrial, commercial, retail, and residential markets for private industry or public agencies. Opportunities for growth and management. This is position is based in either the Hilton Head Island, SC or Ridgeland, SC office. The ideal candidate will have experience in land development, water and sewer projects, stormwater management, erosion control, parking lots, and road design. This position will be responsible for client management as well as managing the production of design deliverables for a wide range of land development projects including commercial sites, residential subdivisions and industrial sites. Responsibilities: Maintain relationships with clients and potential clients Accountable as the Engineer of Record for coordination and preparation of design deliverables in accordance with the established technical standards, cost, and schedule. Perform engineering tasks, including calculations, plans, sepcfications and drawings. Provide field verification activities for construction projects. Coordinate resolution of field questions related to field change notices and design change notices. Strategic Work Meet weekly with Principal to understand priorities and deadlines Recommend efficiencies in to Principal Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required) Professional Engineer license with the capability of getting licensed in Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina (required) 10 years' experience in engineering design preferred Experience using AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D would be a plus) Experience in land/site development design and permitting Self-motivated Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Company Description Nandina is a multi-office professional service firm offering engineering, surveying, and project management Company Description Nandina is a multi-office professional service firm offering engineering, surveying, and project management
