Duty Manager - Colchester

Role: Duty Manager Location: Colchester Salary: £16.50 per hour (paid fortnightly) Hours: 16:00–23:00, 1-3 shifts per week, with the 1st 2-3 shifts consisting of training We are working on behalf of a leading leisure services provider to recruit a Duty Manager to join a dynamic and customer-focused team operating across two leisure centres in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a vital role supporting community health and wellbeing with flexible working About the Role: You will play a key part in leading the day-to-day operations of busy, multi-functional leisure centres. This includes managing staff such as lifeguards and supervisors, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. You will be required to work across two sites and be flexible to cover a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings, is essential. Key Responsibilities: Managing both leisure centres during your shifts Setting up equipment Cash banking Create a welcoming and safe environment for customers Dealing with customer enquiries About You: We're looking for a proactive, hands-on individual with a passion for leisure and fitness. You'll have: Experience working directly with customers, preferably in the leisure or hospitality industry Previous operational management or supervisory experience A positive, team-focused attitude and strong leadership skills Desirable qualifications: First Aid at Work In date Enhanced DBS Contract information: Although this is a temporary/shift based position, my client has confirmed that weekly shifts will be available for the next 2-3 months, and with the possibility of moving on to a permanent contract Ready to Apply?
