Job Description
Robert Half are seeking a permanent Procurement Specialist for a growing manufacturing organisation based in Newport. The Procurement Specialist will be joining a growing team and reporting into the Head of Procurement. There are excellent opportunities for career progression. Your remit will be: Cost Optimization: Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions without compromising quality. Contract Management. Negotiate terms, manage requirements and contract renewals. Supplier Sourcing & Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with new and existing suppliers to meet the company’s needs for raw materials, components, and services. Inventory Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders to setup commercial deals to best suit business requirements. Supplier Performance Management & Tracking: Monitor and assess supplier performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency. Work with suppliers to address any performance issues. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as Single Sourced, material shortages, supplier delays, or disruptions. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control, engineering, and finance teams to align procurement activities with production needs and overall business objectives. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist who ideally is CIPS qualified On offer: A salary of from £37,000 to £50,000 plus bonus depending on experience.
