Transport Planner

Transport Planner - London Gateway - Up to £33,000 Our client is currently seeking a Transport Planner to join their busy Transport Department based at London Gateway, working on a 4-on / 4-off shift pattern. In this role, the successful candidate will receive full training to support the Transport Operators and Planners with the day-to-day running of transport operations Job type: Permanent Hours: 4 on, 4 off Salary: Up to £33,000 Key Duties & Responsibilities Conduct driver briefings and debriefs in a professional and timely manner. Carry out general administrative duties, including accurate filing and document management. Provide day-to-day support to the Transport Planning team. Monitor and record daily trailer movements and availability. Perform regular yard checks to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency. Proactively assist Transport Planners and Management by identifying and taking on additional tasks when needed. Communicate clearly and effectively with both drivers and customer service teams. Contribute positively to a busy, fast-paced team environment. Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping at your workstation and throughout the workplace. Uphold all Health & Safety procedures, reporting any issues, hazards, or near misses promptly. Candidate Profile Previous experience in a Transport, Logistics, or similar operational environment (Required) Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal. A friendly, team-oriented approach with a positive attitude. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
