The Senior Monitoring Analyst will support the Compliance Department in ensuring that Propel Finance meets its regulatory, legal, and governance obligations. This role is focused on overseeing and participating in day-to-day monitoring and quality assurance activity, helping to identify risks, ensure controls are effective, and drive improvements across the business. Role responsibilities Monitoring & Assurance Oversee and carry out thematic monitoring reviews, file checks, and QA testing in line with the monitoring and quality assurance framework. Document and escalate findings clearly, highlighting risks and recommending remedial actions. Tracking of open actions and assist in verifying closure of remedial work. Lead the preparation of monitoring reports for the Compliance & Monitoring Manager. Maintain and enhance the monitoring framework as well as assisting in the development and management of the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP). Compliance Support Support colleagues with regulatory queries by providing accurate and timely information. Contribute to fraud prevention activities. Governance & Reporting Manage MI reporting for internal stakeholders, collating data on monitoring activity and compliance performance. Ensure that monitoring documentation is maintained and up to date. Collaboration & Development Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure understanding of compliance requirements. Take part in training and development opportunities to build knowledge of FCA regulations and assurance skills. Support team initiatives to embed a strong culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability. Provide guidance and support to Monitoring Analysts as necessary Key skills required Previous experience in compliance and/or compliance monitoring activities, assurance or risk role within financial services. Expert working knowledge of FCA regulation, particularly Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and DISP. A-Level qualifications or higher Proactive and inquisitive approach with a willingness to learn Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail So, why would you want to work here?
