Assistant Electrician

Electricians Mate Salary £19.60 Basic 40 hours per week plus £29.41 to £34.24 Overtime Monday to Thursday 40 hours per week plus overtime Dayshift 0630am or 0700am start time Dumbarton We are urgently recruiting Semi skilled electricians for long term temporary positions with our client, the world's leading supplier of temporary power solutions. Working as part of a team, your main responsibilities will be the electrical assembly of large generator sets. Experience of working in an industrial / manufacturing environment would be advantageous, working with 3 phase supply and wiring control panels. Candidates should therefore preferably have experience in a modern manufacturing environment. A safety conscious attitude, able to work under own initiative and having a flexible approach, are also essential requirements for this position. Key Responsibilities: 1.Work as part of a team with mechanical fitters and electrical fitters to assemble generator sets. 2.Ensure all plant and electrical equipment is maintained to minimum legal standard). 3.Ensure health and safety procedures are maintained at all times Approach to Job: The job holder will be energetic, team oriented, approachable, flexible, hands-on, be a self-starter with a natural ability to motivate others in achieving set objectives. The working environment is manufacturing and plant based to facilitate a strong communication link between all departments. Visibility and support with production on the factory floor will be required.
