Key Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment Location: Tacoma, WA 98444 (Washington nursing jobs) Assignment Length: 14 weeks (12/1/2025 – 3/7/2026) Healthcare Setting: Off-Campus Emergency Department (Parkland OCED) Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Employment Type: Travel nursing job Charting System: EPIC EMR Free Parking Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 ER RN Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience (any trauma level) Active RN license in Washington or compact state (Washington healthcare jobs) BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required Proficient IV skills; experience with ventilators, chest tubes, and central lines Ability to mix and administer medications independently Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to float to other off-campus ED sites as needed Telemetry competency (must be completed and passed prior to start) First-time travel nurses welcome! Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics Manage a 1:4 patient ratio, including fast track (1:6 with team support) Provide care for trauma, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psychiatric, and walk-in emergencies Care for intubated patients and manage ventilators/BiPAP (training provided) Mix and administer medications under remote pharmacy supervision Perform and assist with procedures such as IV starts, chest tubes, and central lines Participate in charge nurse duties as needed (training provided) Collaborate with LPNs, phlebotomy, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care Float to other OCED locations as required Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Tacoma, Washington!
