Key Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment Location: Tacoma, WA (98444) – Washington nursing jobs Healthcare Setting: Off-Campus Emergency Department (ED) Assignment Duration: 15 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/14/2026) Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020 Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Free Parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington state preferred Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (trauma level I, II, or III) BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required Strong IV skills; experience with chest tubes and central lines Competency in ventilator and BiPAP management (training provided) Excellent communication and customer service skills Telemetry competency (must be completed prior to start) Willingness to float to other off-campus ED sites in Tacoma First-time travel nurses welcome! ER RN Responsibilities Deliver emergency nursing care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics Care for walk-in traumas, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psychiatric, and gunshot wound patients Manage intubated patients and operate ventilators/BiPAP (no RT onsite) Mix and administer medications under pharmacy supervision via video conference Perform charge nurse duties as needed (training provided) Collaborate with LPNs, phlebotomy, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members Document patient care using EPIC charting system Participate in orientation and ongoing training, including an 8-hour respiratory class Float to other Emergency Department locations within the Tacoma healthcare system Experience the excitement of emergency nursing in Tacoma, WA.
