American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Boise, Idaho. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Tele float pool position requiring prior travel nursing experience and an active ID or compact RN license. Responsibilities Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry float pool within a hospital acute care setting Float to multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units across facilities in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa Nurse to patient ratios are typically 1:5 on Med/Surg units Shift is 7p to 7a with every other weekend required No on-call responsibility Floating may occur at any time during the shift to different units or facilities within specialty Uses Epic EMR system No specific scrub color required; attire must be clean and professional RNs only float within their specialty and may be assigned to any of seven Med/Surg units across facilities Float pool has strong nurse leadership support with assistant managers and educators available Travelers are given unit assignments via an app approximately one hour before their shift A charge nurse is present on all units and an assistant manager is on call 24/7 Patient care techs are present on most units with varying ratios Initial orientation includes a meet and greet and three inpatient orientation shifts Safe and easy parking is available at all facility locations Holiday coverage may be required as needed Requirements Active ID or compact RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience Previous travel nursing experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC) required Driver’s license required Must provide two references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years Permanent employees must have a one-year separation before applying for a travel assignment Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630392.
