Project Estimator & Purchasing

Interglobal Exhibits (IGE) designs and fabricates custom trade show exhibits, branded environments, and experiential spaces. Our work blends creative design, engineering, and quality craftsmanship to bring complex design visions to life for clients worldwide. Role: IGE is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Estimator & Purchasing Specialist to join our Estimating Department. This position plays a key role in bridging design, sales, and production by accurately forecasting project costs, sourcing materials, and ensuring that all cost and scope data is reviewed and properly entered within our internal systems. The ideal candidate will have a background in estimating, and experience in CAD design and/or construction or fabrication. Being able to self-supervise and stay busy is a must. Experience working with remote teams is a bonus. Key Responsibilities Analyze incoming projects during the Sales Briefing stage to calculate material and labor costs. Perform material take-offs from shop drawings and CAD files, and when necessary create basic CAD mockups from renders. Calculate exhibit element costs for materials, supplies,man-hours/labor and services. Prepare written proposals. Review project details in project management software ensuring scope, schedules, and descriptions are complete and accurate. Request, evaluate, and negotiate supplier quotes; research new materials, vendors, and fabrication options that improve value or efficiency Utilize Google Sheets for cost calculations and documentation prior to producing the final estimates in our proprietary software. Conduct comparative analysis of new jobs against historical projects to refine estimates. Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Executives, Design, and Finance teams to clarify specifications and ensure project alignment. Research and evaluate new materials, products, or components relevant to ongoing and future projects. Assist with purchasing and procurement after project award. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Be a fluent English speaker. 3 years of proven experience estimating projects in trade show exhibition, construction/retail, interior design, furniture fabrication or similar. Basic capability in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD software. Proficiency in excel or google spreadsheets You will be accountable for the accuracy of your estimates & project details. Being detail oriented, or having thorough review processes in-place is a must. Must have experience doing material take-offs on blue prints or CAD files. Communicate effectively with remote team members. Be eager to learn Key Objectives Deliver consistent, high-accuracy project estimates aligned with design and budget goals. Strengthen supplier relationships and procurement efficiency. Support continuous improvement in the company’s estimating systems and documentation processes.
