This is a new role that will be hybrid based in our Mexico City office location. This role will be accountable for directing the development and delivery of key business plans for a key market or market markets across the LACM region. Oversees a team of BDM and Account Managers across the assigned region and delivers key metrics including volume, distribution, revenue, gross margin and profit. Role sits within the International Business Unit. A Taste of What You'll Do: Develops, executes and delivers 3YP and AOP for planning of designated markets in consultation with the Regional Team. Identifies, records and monitors current and potential customers in designated markets, channels and customers within the designated LACM markets. Monitors and evaluates market and sales data as well as competitive activities to identify present and future opportunities. Manages distributor relationships at senior level including owners, general managers and other key management positions. Uses personal selling techniques to maximize product distribution and sales understanding the future perspective of the company and developing strategies for growth accordingly. Responsible for managing, developing, coaching and monitoring team of Area managers and their results in the region. Responsible for evaluating and recommending alternative routes to market in designated region. Accountable for delivery of S&OP for designated channels and markets. Makes decisions frequently that significantly impact customers and company profitability. Develops, maintains and assures adherence to operating budget. Accountable for regional promotional spend on an annual basis. Oversees projects that have short to long term focus that helps develop the region. Demonstrates consistent background of quality decisions that drive company profitability. Provides counsel on critical issues; creates customized business solutions and recommendations relative to the region. Accountable for BU Accounts Receivables. Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of winery sales or distributor management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include 5 years in Sales, Marketing or National Account Management and/or Category Management; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 14 years of winery sales or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 11 years of Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Experience working for a Multi-National Corporation or Travel Retail organization. Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire. Required to travel up to 50% of the time in order to conduct job duties. Required to have a passport in good standing for international travel. Proficient in English and Spanish. How You'll Stand Out Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus 12 years of winery sales or distributor management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Master of Business Administration degree. 10 years of Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience. Skilled in statistical analysis and problem solving. Knowledge of E. & J. Gallo Strategic Imperatives as outlined by the CEO and the Gallo Executive Leadership Team. Experience leading and directing a change process. Experience communicating with all levels of an organization. Experience obtaining cooperation and maintaining relationships in the pursuit of goals. Experience influencing, negotiating and resolving conflicts to reach consensus around common goals. Experience making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and boards of directors. Skilled in quickly grasping key business drivers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written). Experience successfully leading teams and partnering with other corporate functions to achieve success in a dynamic work environment. Experience addressing strategic issues as well as day-to-day operational concerns. Experience staffing and developing an organization. Leadership/management strength to provide motivational guidance and direction.
