As a Shelf Edge/Reset Merchandising Manager, you'll lead all initiatives for store-wide shelf management, price image, and rotation. You'll be responsible for general Shelf Edge department functions, while the scope and complexity of work may increase depending on your level of classification. We Are Looking For 1 years of experience in the Shelf Edge department or in management, or comparable retail experience SORM or equivalent Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills Responsibilities Use independent judgment to make employment‑related decisions and recommend such decisions for hiring, promotion, transfer, discipline, suspension, discharge, or reward. Collaborate with all departments, partners, management, and store leadership. Serve as the subject‑matter expert on total‑store Shelf Edge processes. Lead and assist department partners with their duties; coach, train, and evaluate as needed. Hold partners accountable for following SOPs. Monitor and manage department budget and payroll. Maintain inventory and organization of Shelf Edge supplies and tools, including toner, tags, coupon paper, etc. Collaborate and interact with vendors and suppliers on all related activities. Manage accountability of Shelf Edge processes for the store, in collaboration with department managers and store leaders. Coordinate and lead store‑executed shelf edge activities, including product, shelf, and merchandising changes as dictated by plan‑ograms, prep and post‑work, and required forms. Serve as the subject‑matter expert for product shelf assignment (PSA). Manage and ensure accountability for PSA on plan‑ogram items during budgeted and scheduled activities. Ensure compliance of plan‑ogram integrity; collaborate with appropriate partners to execute scheduled activities. Maintain all updates to plan‑ograms, including store‑requested items based on approval process. Maintain location labels store‑wide. Maintain compliance of floorplan and fixture integrity; collaborate with partners on special requests. Execute discontinued product process per SOP. Ensure products are assigned to shelves (PSA) on displays as outlined by SOP. Ensure execution and accuracy of assigned marketing activities as outlined through tasks or communication. Manage all hanging, pulling, printing, and replenishing coupons to support ad change process and activities. Ensure timely execution of daily received tags per SOP. Ensure maintenance and application functionality for department scales is performed daily throughout the store. Perform audits to ensure ad accuracy on a weekly basis. Assist in assessing accuracy of signs and pricing throughout the store on a weekly basis. Sanitation & Safety Ensure compliance with all company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, refrigeration, and sanitation. Replace and order Shelf Edge fixtures for total store to maintain appearance and safety of partners and customers. Perform audits for product date rotation per process SOP. Customer Service Provide and coach on superior customer service focused on hospitality. Answer customer questions regarding products; help customers locate merchandise. Background Requirements Minimum age 18 (mandatory). 1 years of experience in department or in management, or comparable retail experience. SORM or equivalent. Forklift / power jack training. Completion of all specific assigned computer‑based training. Fit H‑E‑B Shelf Edge Manager Understanding of product integrity. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Strong organization and planning skills. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, H‑E‑B systems, and designated conference call systems. Ability to supervise and train staff. Ability to communicate and influence all levels of partners effectively for best outcome. Ability to adapt to stressful situations. Ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner. Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks. Ability to understand basic financial and mathematical operations with relation to impact on total store. Physical & Work Requirements Constantly reach at waist, grasp; frequently stand, walk; occasionally sit, reach at overhead, shoulder, knee, floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, ladder, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, perform fine motor movements. Occasionally be exposed to loud noise, wet and cold conditions. Demonstrate the ability to lift 20 lbs; manage in excess of 65 lbs. Measurements. Constantly 5.5 hrs per 8‑hr day; Frequently 2.5–5.5 hrs; Occasionally 0–2.5 hrs. Partners are responsible for never lifting beyond their own safe lifting limit; if an item is too heavy, break into smaller components or ask for assistance.
