Responsibilities Work in an acute care Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby, and Postpartum unit Unit has 34 L&D beds, 2 OR suites for C-sections, 2 triage beds, and 14 postpartum beds Patient population includes those 33 weeks and above, with high risk cases including preeclampsia, diabetes, psych/social issues, and substance use Average 150-180 births per month, functioning as an LDRP model Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:2 L&D and 1:3-4 for couplets Must work every other weekend on day shifts (Saturday and Sunday) Block scheduling available upon request Epic EMR is used for documentation; 8-hour Epic training provided during orientation Required to work in both L&D and Postpartum with routine mom and baby competencies No floating to NICU or outside of the department; must be able to transition babies and attend low-risk deliveries Standby response time is 45 minutes if on call Scrubs will be provided Responsibilities include independent delivery attendance, circulating for C-sections, newborn transition, and titrating OB medication drips Support staff includes a free charge RN, surgical tech 24/7, and patient care assistant per shift OBGYN hospitalist, NNP, and OB anesthesia provider are available in-house 24/7 EFM system used is Centricity-Perinatal; additional telemetry monitoring after C-sections Unit-based orientation consists of 8-hour compliance, 8-hour Epic class, and 2-3 twelve-hour unit shifts Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff Friendly team environment with supportive manager committed to providing constructive feedback A locker is provided for personal belongings Requirements Active WA or Compact RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required; may consider 1 year if multiple prior travel assignments Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required Comfort with independent delivery attendance, circulating in C-sections, and baby transitions Experience with magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin drip titration required Epic EMR documentation experience preferred Submission must include 2 references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years Copy of driver’s license required for consideration Cannot have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631229.
