Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with two years of experience and ARRT certification to work variable evening and night shifts in a hospital setting. Responsibilities Hospital-based MRI department with a focus on Radiologic and Cardiac MRI imaging Evening and night 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, variable days as needed Primary shift is 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM with potential for some overnight coverage Assignments may require floating to multiple units or locations within the organization depending on staffing needs Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility Perform complex and specialized MRI imaging procedures using a wide range of equipment and systems Responsible for equipment maintenance, participation in quality assurance, and resolving issues related to image processing and archiving Collaborate with staff to prioritize schedules and triage both routine and emergent procedures Participate in training and instruction of fellows, residents, physicians, and visiting healthcare professionals, and may be involved in clinical research Holiday and weekend rotations may be required depending on unit Strict pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with limited retake opportunities General orientation is approximately one week and may start on varying days First-time travelers may be accepted depending on the unit No local candidates accepted Requirements Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as an MRI Technologist Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology; bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred Certification by ARRT in Radiography (R) and MRI (MR) Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association License required if applicable Ability to work with all patient age groups and varying locations Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614863.
