Industry: Global Food & Chemicals Company Location: Azcapotzalco Contract Type: Temporary (Maternity Leave Coverage) About the Role A global leader in the food and chemical industry is seeking a Plant Cost Analysis Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is critical in supporting plant operations by delivering accurate financial insights, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring transparency in key performance indicators. You will work closely with Plant Managers and local leadership, acting as a trusted advisor to optimize productivity and strengthen financial awareness across the organization. Key Responsibilities Partner with Plant Managers and leadership to provide financial guidance and cost analysis. Perform detailed analysis on product cost development, unit cost, and productivity metrics. Lead the annual budgeting process for the plant, focusing on cost structures, capacity planning, and impact on final products. Monitor and forecast monthly production cost variances, collaborating with plant teams to implement corrective actions. Maintain and improve standard costing templates and governance of material master data. Develop and communicate KPIs to measure plant performance effectively. Prepare monthly plant reports using global tools combined with plant-specific insights. Support integrated operations and assist in achieving productivity targets. Participate in global projects related to process optimization and IT tool enhancements. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies; provide documentation for audits. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: 3–7 years in cost analysis, financial planning, or manufacturing finance roles. Contract: Temporary position to cover maternity leave. Language: Intermediate to advanced conversational English required. Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication (written and verbal). Collaboration and adaptability in a dynamic environment. High ethical standards and attention to internal controls. Technical Skills: Expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and variance reporting. Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Ability to develop and interpret KPIs for operational performance.
