SEN Teaching Assistant SEN Teaching Assistant: Northampton Starting date: December/January 2026 Salary: £90-100 per day Temporary Contract, ongoing position Full Time Vacancy (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)SEN Teaching Assistant We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in Northampton. To be considered you must have experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant. You must have a minimum of 6months experience working in UK schools supporting SEND. Be able to nurture and support young children with SEND Safeguarding level 1 trained Have a valid DBS on the update service Dedicated to supporting young SEND learnersThe school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to; Providing individual and small group support: Assisting pupils with learning activities, providing one-to-one support, and implementing differentiated learning plans. Creating and maintaining a supportive learning environment: Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils. Communicating effectively: Maintaining regular communication with teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals regarding pupil progress and well-being. Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs: Implementing strategies to support pupils' social and emotional development and manage challenging behaviour. Assisting with practical tasks: Supporting pupils with personal care needs, preparing learning materials, and maintaining classroom resources. Contributing to the wider school community: Participating in school events and activities and contributing to the overall well-being of the school.If you are proactive, engaging, and have a natural aptitude to connect with children, you would be a great fit for this position.
