School Catering Assistants

V-Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with one of the UKs most forward thinking, recognised and respected Multi-Academy Trusts to recruit 2 x Catering Assistants for one of their secondary school in Doncaster, to start work as soon as possible. This is initially a temporary role for the purpose of ongoing sickness cover, but there is also the possibility of a temp to perm opportunity. Your main duties would include: o Assisting in the preparation, cooking and serving of food to staff and students o Producing meals of consistently high standards on a daily basis o Following food hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen in accordance with health and safety, food hygiene and COSHH regulations at all times o Washing dishes, cutlery, tumblers, jugs, serving utensils, tables, and all other catering equipment in the catering environment o To clean on a daily basis all catering areas to an agreed standard, keeping them free from hazards o To act as a cashier as required, under supervision o To always ensure the safe operation of all kitchen equipment o Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported, including notifiable diseases, in a timely manner Job Specifics £12.21 per hour Monday to Friday working 8am - 2:30pm/3:00pm This role is term time only, so no work over the holiday periods - Annual leave is accrued for use during these periods Candidate requirements The chosen candidate will ideally have Level 2 or equivalent in Food Hygiene, or demonstrable experience of working at that level, a willingness to undergo or enhance additional training as required by your role. In the interests of Safer Recruitment, and the Safeguarding of the school students and staff members, any candidate who is made a conditional offer of employment will undergo an Enhanced DBS check for the Child Workforce.
