Lathe Operator

We’re looking for a skilled Lathe Operator to join a busy precision engineering workshop in Chilton. You’ll be machining high-quality components to tight tolerances, working from detailed engineering drawings, and ensuring every part meets exact specifications. What You’ll Do * Set up and operate horizontal lathes to machine precision components. * Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Perform quality checks using measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges). * Adjust tooling and settings to achieve required tolerances. * Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. What We’re Looking For * Proven experience operating horizontal lathes in an engineering/manufacturing setting. * Strong understanding of machining principles, speeds, and feeds. * Confident using inspection equipment and working to tight tolerances. * Reliable, detail-focused, and a team player. Hours of Operation * 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday * 08:00 - 15:15 Friday This is a temporary to permanent position for the successful candidate
