Engineering Job Details Vital are looking for Electricians for Govan Shipyards What you’ll be doing: Making data cables required for combat systems Termination of distributions boards, that power the ship Running temporary lighting & Fire Systems across the ship Completing inspections and testing electrical installations VSWR Testing (Radar cable testing) Confident in installing various parts (Cable Containment & Conduit, Y Mounts, and Bratburg Gland Systems) Your skills and experiences: Understanding of Relevant Trade Drawings Awareness of all Assessments- RISK, PUWER & COSHH Knowledge of Tag Out Process Understanding of Relevant Manufacturing Instructions & Risk Assessments Earthing to Equipment to Workmanship Standard Trade Test- this is completed over day 1 of your contract Multiple choice trade specific questions Conduit Installation Mechanical Crimping Terminations You must pass this to continue your contract £19.40 per hour to 38.80 per hour Monday to Thursday 7am to 430pm Dayshift Monday to Thursday 930pm to 7am Dayshift Weekends Friday to Sunday 730am to 730pm
