Procurement Director | Poole, Dorset | Technology brand £90,000- £100,000 car allowance bonus additional benefits A unique opportunity has arisen for a growing distribution company in Poole Dorset that is going through an exciting growth and as a result are looking to hire a new Procurement Director. This role will take full end to end ownership of all the procurement and commercial activity and report directly into the Managing Director of this privately owned company. The role will have 2 direct reports and 7 indirect reports underneath that. The role will see you manage your own P&L and drive companies procurement and supply chain strategy as well as their ESG agenda. What the role involves Experienced leading a procurement team, ideally in distribution, you will guide, coach and direct your team with enthusiasm, positivity and professionalism in order to achieve goals and targets. Using data to drive decision-making, you will be responsible for the rationalisation of our product range, ensuring all our product data is accurate. With direct responsibility for our fulfilment and category management teams, you will focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring that ordering is in line with customer demand and suppliers deliver and in line with our operational processes. This business has a strong commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing and you will work closely with our ESG function to support delivery of supply chain reporting and auditing. The person we hope to find Proven team leadership experience. A strong background in distribution and warehouse management as well as procurement expertise across direct spend and have experience of international sourcing Ability to interact and influence senior board level stakeholders. Ideally managed multiple contracts on a regional or international level. Ability to work under pressure and be a self-starter is critical. Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team. This organisation is going through some real positive change recently and wants to empower this person to take the Procurement team and drive it forward through better efficiency in the way they interact with the business. You will be expected to support with the development of your Procurement team and help upskill in them in category management best practice.
