You’ll be part of a high-performing technical team ensuring reliability, uptime, and efficiency of systems serving enterprise-scale customers. Role Overview As a Data Centre Technician , you’ll play a key role in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of server, network, and infrastructure systems within the data centre. You will work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment , ensuring all hardware, software, and environmental systems operate seamlessly. This role is 100% site-based, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with physical hardware, resolving complex technical challenges, and working as part of a tight-knit team supporting mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain data centre hardware including servers, network switches, storage systems, and cabling. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on infrastructure issues, escalating complex cases as needed. Execute physical tasks such as racking and stacking equipment, cable management, and airflow optimization. Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure operational excellence. Replace or repair failed components (e.g., hard drives, DIMMs, cables, transceivers). Support system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes under standard operating procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, procedures, and incident reports. Collaborate closely with infrastructure, network, and engineering teams to meet uptime and performance targets. Uphold data centre security, safety, and compliance standards. About You Hands-on experience in a data centre, IT operations, or network support environment . Strong foundation in Linux operating systems and general server administration. Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switches, routers, structured cabling). Understanding of data centre infrastructure systems such as cooling, electrical, and power distribution. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night, weekends included) . Able to work independently, follow procedures accurately, and maintain documentation. Fluent in English; French language skills are an advantage.
