Based in Lyon, France, this role offers the opportunity to join a global biopharma leader at the forefront of AI-powered manufacturing, where your expertise will help shape the future of digital health delivery. As a Data Engineering Expert, you’ll design and implement scalable data solutions that power Sanofi’s smart factories. You’ll build robust pipelines, ensure data quality, and collaborate across teams to accelerate digital manufacturing operations. What you'll do: Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that turn raw data into actionable insights. Design and optimize data models for performance and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Ensure data quality, observability, and governance across all systems. Automate data ingestion and monitoring for reliable operations. Develop ETL and ML workflows to deliver AI-ready datasets. Promote best practices in data engineering, CI/CD, and containerized deployments. Mentor teammates and support technical knowledge sharing. Experience: Proven experience designing data pipelines and cloud-based data warehouses. Strong background in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and orchestration. Ability to work across teams, connecting business and technical needs. Technical Skills: Strong in SQL and data warehousing (Snowflake preferred). Skilled in Python, ETL tools (IICS or similar), and dbt. Experience with AWS and orchestration tools like Airflow. Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and Terraform. Familiarity with modern data engineering patterns and standards. Soft Skills: Collaborative and proactive with solid problem-solving skills. Self-driven and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Strong communicator with technical and non-technical audiences. Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Fluency in English required.
