Quality Assurance Tester

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications and software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA strategies, demonstrate independent problem-solving, and be comfortable working in an agile environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and product enhancements. Build and expand automated test suites using tools like Selenium for web applications. Perform a mix of manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing with tools such as JMeter. Collaborate closely with developers and product managers from concept to launch, ensuring requirements and acceptance criteria are clear and verifiable. Quickly gain an understanding of business and domain-specific requirements to craft test cases that ensure full coverage. Provide timely, actionable, and data-driven feedback on product quality, leveraging Jira to report and track issues. Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Analyze reports (e.g., load vs. sound performance) and proactively identify potential issues without prompting. Demonstrate understanding of QA strategy and its impact on organizational success. Identify common QA pitfalls (e.g., undetected bugs) and propose thoughtful solutions. Write scripts, develop test cases, and work independently to ensure robust testing coverage. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred). 4 years of Quality Assurance experience. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques. Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proven experience in web application testing, including hands-on experience with Selenium for automation and JMeter for performance testing. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs. Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications are a plus. Ability to craft test cases and walk through problem-solving examples during discussions. What We’re Looking For A problem solver who can think independently and anticipate issues before they arise.
