Primary Teacher - fixed term until 24/12/2026 Balgreen Primary School Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional) Hours 15 per week Working pattern for position is Monday & Tuesday An opportunity has arisen for a part time Teaching post (P7) for 12 month FTC job share post at Balgreen Primary School. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic teacher with an excellent track record in primary teaching. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, skilled and flexible in their approach to deploy their range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs and abilities of the children in our educational setting. Ideally, they should also have relevant experience of building nurturing and supportive relationships with pupils and be skilled in raising attainment through strong practice in planning, learning and teaching and assessment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a stage partner to deliver high quality learning and teaching experiences for all pupils. Experience should include: Assisting with the preparation of class work and developing the curriculum Assessing, recording reporting pupil work and providing guidance to pupils regarding their education Planning, implementing and assessing play-based learning experiences for pupils to support literacy/numeracy and health and well-being Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils Working in partnership with support staff, parents and other professionals to support pupils needs Undertaking appropriate and agreed Continuous Professional Development Participating in issues related to school planning, raising attainment and contributing to the wider life of the school Using data to inform learning and teaching Balgreen Primary School sits in the heart of the local community. The school is led by a management team consisting of a Head Teacher, one Depute Head, one Principal Teacher and a Business Manager. There are fourteen classes led by a mix full time and part time class teachers and a Support for Learning Teacher. Management and teachers are all ably supported by a team of Pupil Support Assistants, a Nurture Pupil Support Officer, a School Administrator and a Clerical Assistant and a Facilities Technician. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory. Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
