Responsibilities Position located on a 36-bed adult surgical unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes orthopedic, trauma, plastics, and general surgery cases Busy unit focused on mobilizing and rehabilitating post-surgical patients Day/night rotating shifts required Telemetry monitoring is part of the unit care The main responsibility is to mobilize and rehabilitate post-surgical patients Care involves management of surgical wounds, drains, and various lines and tubes Must effectively manage both orthopedic and complex trauma patient needs Holiday and weekend requirements may apply based on the unit schedule Requirements Active NH or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years Proficient in caring for patients with chest tubes, various tubes, drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines, drains, trachs, and complex wounds Experience with central line care and blood draws Telemetry nursing experience required No local candidates; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629145.
