7.5t Driver

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t Home delivery drivers for a well known client of ours, based in Moss End. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multi-national organization, with the potential for growth and opportunities. This role involves working with a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering are TV's, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods etc. Due to the weight of the products you are delivering you MUST be physically fit. The company offer the customer a 'room of choice' delivery, you will be fully trained on how to do this. Upon successful application, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple choice highway code/tacho exam. This will then be followed the next day with a subsequent induction day. The company operate 7 days a week, you will be offered a 5 or 6 day rota. Weekend work will be involved. Shift timings are 06.00 start, shifts last roughly 9-11hours. Pay rate - £17.30 P/Hourinc holiday pay. Overtime rate - (After 48 hours) - £22.19 P/Hour Retention Payment Details Amount: £1,300.00 (gross) per qualifying driver who remains with the business throughout the Peak Period. Payment would be made in two instalments as follows: - £500.00 payment made during the week of Christmas (payable between the 19th -24th December) - £800.00 at the end of February, subject to verification of driver attendance and compliance with the above criteria. Conditions : Drivers must not leave or have their assignment terminated before the end of the peak period for any reason whatsoever. Drivers must have no more than one absence or a total of three days absence during the peak period to qualify All Drivers must comply with all DHLs Health & Safety Policy & Procedures, Safe System at work practices and UK Road Safety Legislation. Any breach of the above will disqualify the Driver from receiving retention payment. All drivers must comply with DHL's performance standards of carrying out their duties in a professional and timely manner. After 12 weeks, you can be offered a contract directly with the company. You must have a valid UK License, CPC and Digitacho, no more than 6 points on your driving license. No DD, DR or NI convictions.
