Deputy Operations Manager

CK Group are recruiting for an Deputy Operations Manager to join our waste management, environmental, and recycling client-based industry, at their site near Sheffield. This role will play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors, minimising environmental impact, delivering excellent customer service, and operating the site efficiently in line with budget expectations. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week. The salary is £35k - £45k. The company's core business focuses on collection, resource recovery and renewable energy providing services for local authorities and commercial customers. They have a number of core services including municipal services, business waste solutions, recycling and green energy. Location: This role is located at our client's site near Sheffield. Your main duties will be: Supporting and deputising for the Operations Manager Managing the operation and staff of multiple waste treatment facilities to ensure safety, compliance, and financial targets are met Leading and managing staff and contractors to operate safely and compliantly Developing and maintaining positive relationships with regulators, customers, and suppliers Overseeing the reception, inspection, processing, and dispatch of wastes and treated residues Liaising with technical staff for sampling, assessment, and monitoring of waste processing techniquesYour Background: A degree in chemistry or a related subject Experience in the process (chemical) or waste treatment industry Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General CertificateApply: It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
