Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the Accounting & Finance team within an exciting industry. This role involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting the financial operations of the organisation. The organisation operates on a small-sized scale, offering a focused and professional environment in the Shoreham-By-Sea area. Description Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. Assist with payment runs and ensure compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions. Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve invoice queries. Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Monitor and respond to vendor communications effectively. Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the AP function.Profile A successful Accounts Assistant should have: Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar role within the accounting & finance field. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Good proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Problem-solving skills to address invoice discrepancies efficiently. Knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices. Must be a car driver due to the remote location on the outskirts of Shoreham-By-SeaJob Offer Competitive salary ranging from £26,000 to £29,000 per annum.
