Security Tester

Security Tester - Onsite in Leeds on Tuesday & Thursday and home based on the other days £350-£400 per day (inside IR35) - 9 months All applicants must hold an active SC clearance. My client is a global leading IT consultancy. They are on the hunt for an SC Cleared Security Tester to join the current test team. Key Duties and Responsibilities Strong capability to identify security gaps across systems and processes. Experience creating and applying risk models. Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive cyber security test strategy. Strong understanding of Azure security risks, especially related to Azure Storage. Knowledge of immutable backups and secure data retention strategies. Experience with disaster recovery planning, including full restore testing. Expertise in multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup and testing. Vulnerability management - scanning, prioritisation, remediation validation. Ability to design and interpret security dashboards for monitoring and reporting Awareness of system throttling and its security implications. Ideally comfortable upskilling the rest of the team so we can cover basic Cybersecurity testingEssential Industry and Competencies Previous experience with manual testing (systems, APIs, and applications) Languages: JavaScript and Python Tools: Confluence, Jenkins, Jira, SplunkDesired Industry and Competencies Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, SAML, JWT, etc.).
