About the Company My client is a dynamic and forward-thinking design & build contractor with an exceptional reputation for delivering creative, high-quality commercial fit-out projects across multiple sectors. They combine innovative design with precision project delivery, working collaboratively across teams to achieve outstanding results for their clients. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of exciting work, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and play a key role in driving project success and profitability. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced, design-led environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management of multiple fit-out projects — ensuring cost control, value engineering, and profitability from inception through to completion. Working closely with the wider project and design teams, this role will involve both pre- and post-contract duties, client liaison, and commercial reporting. Rewards and Benefits In addition to a competitive salary of £55,000 – £70,000, the company offers a comprehensive and people-focused benefits package designed to reward performance and support wellbeing, including: * 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). * Profit share bonus scheme. * Enhanced pension contributions after service milestones. * Private medical insurance (after qualifying period). * Death-in-service benefit (rising with tenure). * Paid wellbeing days and compassionate leave. * Cycle-to-work scheme and individual training budgets. * Extra day off for your birthday, plus milestone gift vouchers. * Regular company events, team socials, and a relaxed, inclusive office culture. * Early finish Fridays during the summer months. This is a business that genuinely values its people — promoting a collaborative, flexible, and supportive working environment where your contribution will be recognised and your career development encouraged. Requirements * Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial fit-out or design & build projects. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver strong commercial results. * Sound working knowledge of JCT contracts and construction processes. * Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. * Excellent attention to detail and financial accuracy. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. * A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when required
