Job Description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to join Barnsley Council's Safeguarding Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: * Provide a confidential and efficient business support service to internal teams and external customers. * Manage correspondence, calls, and enquiries, offering advice, guidance and signposting where appropriate. * Organise and coordinate meetings, diaries, and appointments, including accurate minute-taking. * Assist with project work, research, and the preparation of reports and data analysis. * Maintain electronic and paper-based systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. * Undertake financial administration such as raising purchase orders, processing payments, and reconciling invoices. * Liaise with stakeholders to support the smooth running of council services and operations. Requirements: * Previous experience within a business support or administrative role. * Strong organisational and communication skills. * Skilled in minute taking Please apply with an up to date CV ASAP if this role would be of interest to you
