Maintenance Electrician

Location: Sutton (covering council-managed flats and houses) Rate: £250 per day Duration: 6 months (potential extension) About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced Electrical & General Maintenance Engineer to work on behalf of Sutton Council, carrying out maintenance across council-owned flats and houses. The role includes: * General property maintenance and repairs * Electrical inspection, testing, and remedial works * Plumbing and gas maintenance * Ensuring all works comply with safety and regulatory standards Requirements: * NICEIC-registered or Qualified Supervisor (able to sign off electrical work) * Proven experience in general maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and gas work * Full UK driving licence * Good communication and record-keeping skills * Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently What’s on Offer: * £250 per day * 6-month contract (potential extension) * Company van supplied, or use your own vehicle and receive £35 per day plus fuel * Opportunity to work on a stable local authority contract with consistent workload Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Contract length: 6 months Experience: * Electrical: 5 years (required) Licence/Certification: * NICEIC / sign off work (required) * Driving Licence (required)
