Plumber / Maintenance Engineer – Sutton Council Contract Location: Sutton (covering council-managed flats and houses) Rate: £250 per day Duration: 6 months (potential extension) About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Plumber / Maintenance Engineer to carry out a range of maintenance and repair works across Sutton Council properties, including flats and houses. The role involves: * General plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance * Fault finding and reactive maintenance * Minor heating and gas maintenance works (if qualified) * Supporting general building maintenance as needed * Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard Requirements: * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent trade qualification) * Gas Safe registered * Proven experience in domestic maintenance and repair work * Full UK driving licence * Good communication and record-keeping skills * Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently What’s on Offer: * £250 per day * 6-month contract (potential for extension) * Company van provided, or use your own vehicle and receive £35 per day plus fuel * Regular, reliable work within a supportive maintenance team Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Contract length: 6 months Experience: * Plumbing: 5 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Gas Safe Register (required) * Driving Licence (required)
