HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – TRAMPER Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Weekend availability) Start Time: 11:00 PM Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham. Benefits Excellent hourly rate Ongoing, long-term work Weekly pay Overtime opportunities Onsite canteen, vending machines, and pool tables Full training provided Temporary to permanent opportunity Immediate starts available No weekend working required Early finish on Fridays Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties Safely operate and drive Class 1 (CE) vehicles to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness Load and secure cargo safely in accordance with regulations Adhere to all road traffic laws and company transport policies Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customers Maintain accurate logs for mileage, fuel usage, and delivery information Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly Assist with loading or unloading when required Essential Skills Valid UK CE (Class 1) driving licence Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsements In-date UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Good level of spoken and written English Experience operating various trailer types Excellent punctuality and timekeeping Strong communication and organisational skills Flexibility to work overtime where required Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines Desirable Experience Previous experience driving commercial vehicles within a similar role Training Full industry-related training provided with ongoing support and development opportunities.
