Sous Chef

Day time hours My clients are seeking a Sous Chef to join their team in a bustling farm shop/ restaurant. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards - Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces - Ensure food safety procedures are strictly followed during all stages of food preparation - Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organised cooking environment - Help with inventory management and stock rotation to ensure freshness of ingredients - Running the pass and managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef Qualifications - Previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment - Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary setting - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively and manage junior team members - A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field Technique-Recruitment Solutions Ltd is a proud equal opportunities employer, dedicated and specialist to the hospitality industry.
